Louise Baldwin - The Sandman: Season One

Louise Baldwin, the daughter of a British army officer, lived a life of tragedy and poverty during the late 1800s. As a child, she was raped and impregnated by her cousin, who soon deserted her. 

Since then, she has been working as a sex worker on the streets of London, where she earned the cruel nicknames 'Luscious Lou' and 'The Hospital' due to her reputation for putting people in them and spending time there herself, mainly due to inebriation and sexually transmitted infections. 

After failing to seduce Morpheus outside the White Horse pub, Hob Gadling gives Louise money to buy herself a drink. 

Dream's intimate knowledge of Louise's past traumas, as well as a similar encounter with Lady Johanna Constantine 100 years earlier, finally alerted Gadling to the possibility that he was dealing with someone far more powerful than a mere immortal like himself.
