Discovered by Jason, the son of Zeus and twin brother of Wonder Woman, he was taken back to his village on the coast of the Aegean Sea, where the Demi-God lived with The Sons of Paradise Island and the Gargareans. Nursing Alexander back to health, they noticed that he was intimately familiar with the doctrine of Artemis, having learned about her patronage and worship from his mother and aunt.
Agreeing that he could stay with them, Alexander thrived among his savours, who treated him as their sibling. He would continue to honour Artemis as a priest.
Appearing before him whilst praying one evening, Artemis was angered by how his aunt Lyta had perverted her worship of the Goddess of the hunt and turned it into a cult, with herself as the unelected spokesperson and leader. Calling out Lyta as a false prophet and murderer who took the Goddess' name in vain, Alexander begged Artemis to help him avenge his mother's death. While he could hunt animals, he could never murder another human, no matter how bad they were. Moved by his plea and devotion to her, she transformed him into a giant humanoid dog, increasing his already keen hunting skills tenfold and welcoming him into her Retinue.
Tracking Lyta down, he discovered that she - and the other members of Amazonia - had been slaughtered by his sister, who was now going by the name the Cheetah. She had wanted to end her bloodline and destroy everything related to her past life.
While he toyed with the idea of getting revenge on his sister, he worried that - even with his new powers - he was not strong enough to beat her. So instead he returned to his brothers and his duties as a priest - and now defender - of Artemis.
While he has chosen to take a life of celibacy, as is the way of the worshippers of Artemis, he has begun a committed and loving relationship with Siproites.
