Carl - The Sandman: Season One

A friend and neighbour of Rose Walker's from her time in New Brunswick, New Jersey, Carl offered to house-sit for Rose while she was in Sussex. 

He continued to care for the apartment when she went to Cape Kennedy, Florida, in search of her younger brother, Jed. During this time, Carl met The Corinthian, the patron nightmare of murder and bloodshed, who was hunting down Rose. The two quickly hit it off, leading to a sexual encounter. However, before The Corinthian could kill Carl and take his eyes, he was spared by the news that a copycat killer was causing havoc at a local diner.

When Rose returned from Florida, Carl started dating her former landlord, Hal, who had accompanied her.
