Gil LeGume - Earth 254182

The youngest son of Gaston LeGume, Gil LeGume is the second mate to his best friend, Uma Maelstrom's pirate crew. Hailing from the Isle of the Lost penal colony, he was raised by his father to hunt and fish, to pass on the LeGume family name. However, he often found himself in violent arguments with his family due to his reluctance to kill. As a result, he turned to fairy tales for comfort and discovered his attraction to boys as he grew older.

After coming out to his friends, Celia and Freddie Facilier, his father disowned him and threw him out. He was adopted by Celia and Freddie's father, Dr. Baron Facilier, and began working in the Facilier Emporium as the shop's handyman. It was there he met Harry Hook, and they became a couple after he joined Uma's pirate gang at Hook's request.

During a raid on Atlantica, their ship was attacked and boarded by Black Manta, who mistook them for Atlanteans. Impressed by his bravery and fighting prowess, Black Manta extended an invitation for them to join his Manta-Men. Gil leapt at the opportunity, since Manta reminded him of his father. Since then, he has served as an agent of Manta and The Light, aiding the group in their goal of unifying the world under their rule and ensuring that they win the upcoming war against the forces of Apokolips.
