Lady Johanna Constantine - The Sandman: Season One

Lady Johanna Constantine, born in 18th-century Britain, was a wealthy noblewoman driven by aspirations for fame, wealth, and immortality. In 1789, she sought out the legendary figures the 'Demon' (Dream) and 'The Wandering Jew' (Hob Gadling), believing they held the key to her desires.

Confronting them with mercenaries during one of their centennial meetings, she was subdued by Dream's sand, forcing her to relive her past regrets.

Years later, Johanna was reunited with Dream, who entrusted her with a task of great importance. She reportedly carried out her duty successfully, earning favour from the King of Dreams.

In the 21st century, her ancestor, Johanna Constantine II, met Dream after escaping his one-hundred-year-long imprisonment in the basement of Fawny Rig, helping him recover his lost pouch of sand.
