The first plane of Hell after descending the Spiral Staircase, Limbo takes the form of a hotel reception, where the dead remain frozen, unable to think, feel, or touch. They can barely speak, save for the odd strained noise they can get past their lips.
At the concierge desk, there is a bell, which, when rung causes all the spirits there to experience excruciating pain.
