Ultra-Humanite - Young Justice: The Comic

Born in 1918, the individual who would later be known as "the Ultra-Humanite" was a scientist with a fear of death and a disdain for the fragility of the human body. He harboured a deep resentment towards meta-humans due to their extraordinary abilities. Over several decades, he confronted the Justice Society of America and the All-American Squadron.

As his body aged, he kidnapped and killed Delores Winters, using her body as a vessel for his own brain. This allowed him to continue living, hidden from his numerous enemies. However, when Delores' body began to age, he sought a new host.

In 2008, he collaborated with The Light and travelled to Bwunda with another neuroscientist. There, they had unrestricted access to the local ape population for experimentation. The League of Shadows, acting as their security detail, captured an albino gorilla for them. Seeing an opportunity to transcend humanity, the Ultra-Humanite had his brain transplanted into the gorilla's body.

Following this transformation, he refocused on The Light's original objective. His successful operation inspired his colleague to store his own brain in a technologically advanced robotic container, leading to the creation of "The Brain". While the Ultra-Humanite chose organic evolution, his colleague opted for technological enhancement.

Over the next two years, they established a large compound of laboratories, mockingly named "Gorilla City". They captured entire troupes of gorillas for experimentation, subjecting them to cruel tests and enhancing their natural abilities with the chemical Kobra-Venom. To maintain control, they fitted the gorillas with Belle Reve meta-human inhibitor collars and held their offspring hostage.

In 2010, while The Brain and Monsieur Mallah conducted separate Kobra-Venom operations in Africa, the Ultra-Humanite maintained order in Gorilla City as a contingency plan. When their African lab was compromised, The Brain and Mallah returned to Bwunda, forcing the Ultra-Humanite to relinquish command.

When the young heroes discovered Gorilla City, Ultra-Humanite ordered the apes, led by Grodd and Solovar, to capture them. However, this decision led to their downfall when the heroes and apes united to overthrow them. Outmatched, The Brain ordered the destruction of Gorilla City, and the trio escaped in the ensuing chaos.
