Sindella Zatara - Young Justice: Phantoms

The wife of Giovanni John Zatara (married 1995) and mother of Zatanna Zatara (bn 1996), Sindella Zatara (bn 1975 - 2008) supported her husband when he became a costumed hero and joined the Justice League, raising their daughter with the help of their family friend, Kent Nelson.

Diagnosed with cancer, she underwent treatment but did not survive.

Her death had a great impact on Giovanni, who became overly protective of Zatanna when her metagene kicked in. He did his best to stop her from following in his footsteps and joining The Team, as he did not want to lose her. Nevertheless, she defied his wishes and became a hero, much to his exasperation and pride, inheriting her mother's stubbornness and desire to help people.
