During the Giggle incident, Ibrahim led Squad 5 in extracting the Doctor and Donna Noble from the streets of London to the local UNIT HQ. At Noble's request, he arranges for Wilfred Mott to be moved to a safe location to wait out the crisis.
Once at the HQ, Ibrahim remained on the scene as the Doctor and Donna were briefed by Kate Lethbridge-Stewart, Shirley Anne Bingham and Melanie Bush about the recent global spike in violence and panic.
After Kate removes her Zeedex during a demonstration gone wrong, Ibrahim forcibly restrains the ranting Brigadier, attaching a new device to her wrist before she could become violent.
With the Galvanic Beam controlled by The Toymaker, Ibrahim and his team attempt to apprehend the celestial being. However, he is called off by the Doctor, as he is far too dangerous for them to face. After reasoning with the Master of Play failed, he watched in shock as the Doctor was gunned down.
Powerless to help, he could only stand by as the fate of the world is decided by a game of catch.
