The former wife of Adam, Lilith is the first woman created by God, banished from the Garden of Eden for her refusal to be subservient to her husband.
Becoming an all-powerful goddess in her own right, she became known as the goddess of blood, witches and wronged women. Appearing before those who called upon her, she would grant them boons of power and immortality, on the condition that they did not exploit or corrupt this gift for their own personal gain. To summon her, one must use an image of her.
Among her worshippers was Esther Finch, a witch who had been driven from her homeland at Port Townsend after she killed her husband and his mistress. Granting her the immortality she craved, Finch grew to hate Lilith after realising that she had not been given eternal youth, believing that the goddess had tricked her.
During a fight with Esther, Crystal Palace called upon Lilith to help defeat her former acolyte. Enraged that one of her own votresses would dare to defile her power, by sacrificing hundreds of little girls to sustain her vanity, she travelled to the mortal plane to personally deal with Finch. She dragged the screaming witch away, ending her hold over the town.
