Part One

Bernard Dowd: It was one of the best restaurants I've been to in ages. I can't wait to take you there, Tim!

Tim Drake: Bernard, we aren't even done with this date, and you're planning the next!

Bernard Dowd: I like making plans with you! I like the idea that you'll be sticking around.

Tim Drake: Me too.

Tim Drake: (I.M) I really want to hold his hand. Should I just go for it? But what if he doesn't want me to? Oh God, did I totally misread that? What if it was just an accident. Does he even LIKE holding hands? I mean, he would've said something if he wanted to hold hands. There would've been a signal or something. Unless us brushing hands WAS the signal? Oh no. Is it too late now? Did I miss it?

Bernard Dowd: Tim? Everything okay?

Tim Drake: Yep. All good! Oh, look! We're already at the movie theatre!

Bernard Dowd: Hey, whoa! Slow down!

Red Robin: I can't believe I ran away from him. It was so embarrassing!

Batwoman: It's okay, kiddo. We've all been there.

Red Robin: Being with Bernard makes me so happy. I love spending time with him. But every time I try to make a move, or even think about making one, I start second-guessing myself. I thought I had OK dating instincts, but now I don't know! I mean, is dating guys anything like dating girls?

Batwoman: I am so not the person to ask that question to.

Red Robin: ... right. I shouldn't have bothered you with all this. I'm sure you've got more important stuff to do. I can figure it out on my own.

Batwoman: Just because you CAN figure something out on your own, doesn't mean you have to. Besides, I'm invested now. You two are adorable.

Red Robin: I'm not ... We aren't ...

Batwoman: We're going to talk this out properly, but I'm not going to sit out here in the cold while we do. *shivers* You coming?

Red Robin: Let's go!

Part Two

Kate Kane: Okay, Tim. Hit me. What exactly is the problem?

Tim Drake: I keep overthinking things, Kate. I don't know if he's happy with the pace we're moving at, or if he wants us to move faster or slower, or ... I don't know. I just want everything to be perfect, you know? But I get so nervous around him!

Kate Kane: You two are dating, Tim. No matter how hard you try, it'll never be perfect. But that's just part of life. It's okay.

Tim Drake: I know. He just makes me so happy! I don't want to mess this up!

Kate Kane: Why do you think you'll mess it up?

Tim Drake: I always mess it up.

Kate Kane: Do you know what the best part of dating someone is?

Tim Drake: What?

Kate Kane: You never have to figure things out alone. If you want Bernard to be your partner, then treat him LIKE a partner. You don't know something? Ask him! You're a great detective, Tim. But this doesn't have to be a mystery for you to solve alone. Tell Bernard what you're feeling. Let him help you. He's not a mind reader ... Wait. He's not a mind reader, right?

Tim Drake: What? Oh. No.

Kate Kane: Right. Just checking. You never know.

Tim Drake: Okay. You're right. I'll talk to him. Thank you, Kate. For listening and ... well, everything really. Everyone has been super supportive, but you're the one I feel like I can talk to about this. I don't know what I'd do without you.

Kate Kane: You'd be all right. I know you would be. I'm so proud of you, kiddo.

Tim Drake: Spending time with you is important to me. ... Hey, Bernard? Do you like holding hands? Because I really want to hold your hand, but I don't know if YOU want that and I just want to make sure that you're comfortable and ---

Bernard Dowd: Tim.

Tim Drake: Yeah?

Bernard Dowd: I'd love to hold your hand.

Tim Drake: Cool.
