Formerly a member of The Wonderland Gang, The Carpenter, aka Jenna Duffy was a regular foe of Batman and his allies. However, she eventually quit the group to focus on her passion as a carpenter, opening her own business.
Seeing this as a betrayal, members of the gang decided to get their revenge on Duffy, ratting out her last known whereabouts to Tyger operatives. Acting on this information, Hugo Strange ordered her to be arrested.
Despite Batman’s help, she was quickly captured and imprisoned in Arkham City.
Left to the mercy of her former teammates, Duffy was drugged and fitted with a micro-processor hair ribbon, stripping her of her free will and turning her into a mindless drone.
Now loyal to Tetch and Tetch alone, she was drafted into the new and improved Wonderland Gang, alongside The Cheshire Cat - Selina Kyle, - The Queen of Hearts – Pamela Isley, - and Alice - Vicki Vale.
Once more the Carpenter, she was forced to attack Batman when he stormed the Hat Shop in search of Vale and Isley. Recognising that she was not in control of her actions, he pulled his punches, searching for an alternate way to free the Hatter’s victims.
Now out from under Tetch’s control, Duffy set about to make a name for herself in Arkham City, excited by the prospect of fixing up the collapsing super prison.
