Jovita - Young Justice: Phantoms

A Hunger Dog from the Apokoliptian slum of Armagedda, Jovita was conditioned to obey Darkseid’s will without question, under threat of death or reeducation.

Her curiosity about freedom was sparked after hearing a speech by “Graggin” in a local bar, who advocated for rebellion against Darkseid. Intrigued, she approached him for more information.

“Graggin” led her to a secluded location, supposedly to meet other rebels. However, they were ambushed by Parademons, and “Graggin” revealed his true identity as Ma’alefa’ak, one of Darkseid’s agents. Despite Jovita’s lack of rebellious intent, Ma’alefa’ak deemed her susceptibility to his speech as treasonous. She was captured by the Parademons and taken to the Reeducation Center.

Jovita’s arrest marked the 16th rebel captured by Ma’alefa’ak, earning him a commendation and his own planet, Durla, as a reward for his loyalty to Darkseid.
