"Hunger Dogs" - Young Justice: Phantoms

Cruelly referred to as "Hunger Dogs," this enslaved race of humanoids live in the slums of Apokolips, under the rulership of Darkseid. Largely uneducated, as it is believed education is a weapon of rebellion, they are forced to work in the fire pits, forging weapons for galactic conquest. 

Despite their numerical superiority over the New Gods on Apokolips, with a ratio of 1000:1, the majority live in fear of Darkseid, avoiding any form of resistance due to the threat of death or reeducation.

However, there are some who dare to resist Darkseid's rule. To counter this, the Lord of Apokolips  employs individuals to suppress any rebellion. One such agent was the martian Ma'alefa'ak, who infiltrated the Hunger Dogs under the alias "Graggin". His mission was to identify potential rebels, which he accomplished by delivering revolutionary speeches in public places. As of August 2020, has succesfully captured 16 rebels, all of whom were dragged away to the Reeducation Centre.
