The Spirit of Esmé - The Sandman

Electrocuted during an afternoon comedy set, Esmé's ghost was furious at the bar's management for leaving the mains to her microphone open, causing the fatal shock.

Surprised to see Death of the Endless, she quickly realises who she is, tearfully joking that she had achieved the ultimate nightmare of all comedians: "dying on stage." Lamenting that with a few more years, she could have made it big, Esmé is comforted by Death, who gently leads her to the Sunless Lands and the realms beyond.
