Red's Moltres - Pokémon Origins

Dwelling in Kanto's Victory Road, Moltres preferred to keep to themselves. Highly territorial, they would lash out and attack anyone who disturbed their nest.

Red would stumble upon Moltres during his travels. Clashing with the young trainer's Charizard, the two fought to a standstill. They would eventually be caught and added to his collection.

Red's Zapdos - Pokémon Origins

One of the three Legendary Birds originating from the Kanto Region, Zapdos often roosted in the abandoned Power Plant, making a nest for themself among the electrical pylons.

While exploring the Plant, Red came across Zapdos. Wanting to add them to his collection, he battled the bird with his Tauros. After a fierce fight, they would finally be caught.

Red's Articuno - Pokémon Origins

While investigating the Seafoam Islands for new Pokémon to collect and add to his Pokédex, Red came across Articuno. Impressed by their beauty, he caught them. He used his Rapidash to weaken them, before finally capturing them in an Ultra Ball.

Red would later use Articuno in his fight against Mewtwo. Despite their best efforts and a powerful blizzard, the clone easily overpowered them.

Ser Glendon Goode - Fire & Blood

A loyalist of Queen Rhaenyra Targaryen, Ser Glendon Goode (170 AC - 190 AC) was appointed Lord Commander of the Queensguard after his successful recovery of Ser Lorent Marbrand's corpse, during the first day of the King's Landing riots.

He would only hold this title for - less than - one day.

He was among the Seven Knights sent by Rhaenyra to recover the body of Prince Joffrey Velaryon, after the young boy was thrown from the back of the dragon Syrax and fell to his death, landing in Fleabottom, amidst the rioting.

While they were successful in their mission, Goode was killed when a rioter set fire to his cape. The rearing horse threw him clear. He was killed by the mob, tearing him apart for his weapons and armour.

Lamentation - Fire & Blood

The ancestral sword of House Royce, Lamentation was the Valyrian steel sword passed down the family for generations. The last known owner was Ser Willam Royce, a knight in the service of Queen Rhaenyra.

Royce was killed by rioters while trying to recover the dead body of Prince Joffrey Velaryon. Lamentation was thought lost.

There were rumours that the blade had been taken by Ser Warrick Wheaton and used in his assault on the Dragonpit, injuring the dragon Syrax in the process, though this could not be confirmed.

Ser Warrick Wheaton - Fire & Blood

A knight based in King's Landing during the Targaryen civil war, The Dance of Dragons, Ser Warrick Wheaton took part in an attack on the Dragonpit.

There he is said to have injured Queen Rhaenyra's mount, Syrax with a debilitating injury, slashing her wing and grounding the dragon. She would be overwhelmed by the Shepherd's flock and killed.

In some accounts he was accredited to performing the killing blow, though this is conjecture.

Wheaton had in his possession a Valyrian steel sword, which he used to fight Syrax. While again this blade cannot be accurately identified with any real certainty, it was most likely the blade Lamentation, taken from the former Queen's Guard Ser William Royce after he died trying to rescue - and later recover the body of - Prince Joffrey Velaryon.

Bean - Fire & Blood

A crossbowman from King's Landing, Bean was one of the many to storm the Dragonpit during the fall of King's Landing in 130 AC.

Surviving the incident he would claim to have killed the dragon Syrax, by first injuring her wing with a bolt.

He would boast about his kill in the local taverns, only for one of Queen Rhaenyra's loyalists to cut out his tongue.

There are many conflicting tales surrounding Syrax's death and who was responsible, so an exact account is hard to come by.

Hobb the Hewer - Fire & Blood

A woodsman living in King's Landing, Hobb the Hewer was one of the many followers of The Shepherd.

Rebelling against Targaryen rule, he marched on the Dragonpit, where in the heat of the battle, he killed the young dragon Shrykos.

Jumping on her back, he used his axe to cave in her skull, striking her seven times. Some add religious allegory to this account to suggest each strike was said to be in the name of The Seven, which is possible given he was a follower of The Shepherd and listened to his sermons about the gods.

Other accounts claim he was responsible for killing Dreamfyre, though this is highly contested due to the improbable nature of someone killing two dragons in melee combat.

He was presumed dead, killed either by her fellow dragons or when the roof of the Dragonpit collapsed and was remembered as a hero by many.

Shrykos - Fire & Blood

One of the five dragons under the control of King Aegon Targaryen's faction, Shrykos grew up riderless after his rider, Prince Jaehaerys was murdered by Blood and Cheese.

Too young for war, she was housed in the Dragonpit with the other dragons, fed and cared for.

Shrykos was the first to die during the assault on the Dragonpit in 130 AC, after the woodsman Hobb the Hewer caved in her skull with his axe, but not before torching and killing countless assistants.

Madame Martin - Heartstopper: Season One

A schoolteacher at Harvey Greene Grammar School for Girls (HIGGS), Madame Martin specialised in teaching her pupils French.

Among her Year 11 class were Tara Jones, Darcy Olsson and the recent transfer student, Elle Argent.

Lady Esselyn - Fire & Blood

The name used by Essie during the brief reign of her son, Gaemon, Lady Esselyn was the Hand of the King, ruling his supporters alongside her paramour, Sylvenna Sand

After loyalists of King Aegon Targaryen, led by Boros Baratheon, recaptured King’s Landing and took back control of the city from the three pretenders, she was deposed and taken back to the Red Keep.

There she would be promptly interrogated and executed for treason.

Essie - Fire & Blood

A young sex worker living in King's Landing, Essie met a Lysene oarsman and fell pregnant with his son. Giving birth to a boy, she named him Gaemon. Raising him in the House of Kisses with her lover Sylvenna Sand, she wished to give him a better life, teaching him the more progressive customs of her native Dorne.

When Queen Rhaenyra abandoned King's Landing, Essie decided to make a move for power, declaring for all to hear that Gaemon was in fact the son of King Aegon. With no one there to verify or deny the claim, they moved to crown him as King.

Unable to access the Red Keep, due to the rulership of King Trystane Fyre, they ruled from The House of Kisses, taking the Street of Sisters as their own district. Acting as his official Hand of the King, she took on the name Lady Esselyn

Despite being popular among the people of King's Landing, they were quickly deposed by Boros Baratheon and brought back to the Red Keep for interrogation. Under duress, she finally admitted that she had lied about Gaemon's heritage.

Essie was among two dozen loyal courtiers to be executed by Baratheon. She was survived by Gaemon, who, due to his age and innocence, was kept alive as a political prisoner.

Sylvenna Sand - Fire & Blood

The illegitimate daughter of Dornish nobility, Sylvenna Sand was a sex worker living in King's Landing. While there, she fell in love with a young mother called Essie, helping her raise the boy the best they could, though due to their profession, they struggled.

After Essie decided to announce Gaemon as the illegitimate son of Aegon Targaryen, she helped fashion him as a claimant to the Iron Throne, now that Queen Rhaenyra was gone, and the city was - almost - theirs for the taking.

Forming a small council among their loyalists, Sylvanna fashioned edicts for Gaemon, many of which were progressive customs and laws that were already in practice in Dornish culture.

Their reign was brief.

They were captured by Boros Baratheon, who marched them through the streets in chains. She defiantly held her lover's hand throughout.

Charged with treason, she was hung from the battlements of the Red Keep, as a warning to those who wished to defy Aegon's rule.

Blood - The World of Ice & Fire

Known only as Blood, he and a ratcatcher, Cheese, were responsible for committing one of the Dance of Dragon's most heinous acts; the murder of Prince Jaehaerys.

Hired by Mysaria, he and Cheese accessed the private residents of the Red Keep, taking Queen Helaena and her children hostage.

Despite Helaena's plea to kill her youngest son Maelor, Blood decapitated Jaehaerys instead, taking his head as proof of completing their contract.

Helaena never recovered from the ordeal.

Cheese - The World of Ice & Fire

A King's Landing ratcatcher familiar with the secret passages and tunnels in and around the Red Keep, "Cheese" as history would know him as, was one of the two assassins responsible for murdering Prince Jaehaerys.

Hired by Mysaria, acting on behalf of Prince Daemon Targaryen, he and Blood captured Queen Helaena and her children, forcing her to make an impossible choice - which of her sons to die. Ignoring her decision to kill her youngest child Maelor, they instead decapitated Jaehaerys. True to their word, they only killed one of her sons, leaving before they could be caught by the King's Guard.

Mysaria - The World of Ice & Fire

Known as both "{Lady} Misery" and "the White Worm", Mysaria was the paramour and favourite of Prince Daemon Targaryen.

A Lysene dancer and sex worker living in Fleabottom, she fed her lover information about the goings on among the citizens of King's Landing, acting as his Mistress of Whispers.

After the death of Prince Lucerys at the hands of his cousin Prince Aemond at Storm's End, Mysaria, at the behest of Daemon, contracted the mercenaries Blood and Cheese to break into the Red Keep and murder one of King Aegon's children, calling it poetic justice - a son for a son.

She would go down in history as one of the greatest Mistresses of Whispers of all time, rivalled only by the Bloodraven, Brynden Rivers.

Villainy Inc. - Wonder Woman: Bloodlines

Made up of enemies of Wonder Woman, Villainy Inc. was created by Veronica Cale to help her locate the island of Themyscira and plunder it for Amazonian technology and weaponry that she could profit from. Bankrolling these agents, she preferred to keep her involvement a secret, giving command of the team over to Doctors Cyber and Poison. Those who discovered Cale's involvement were immediately dealt with, leaving little to no evidence tying the criminals with the pharmaceutical magnate.

Devising mutagens from the blood of the Gorgon Medusa, who Cale had imprisoned as a prototype bioweapon in her Qurac facility, Dr Poison outfitted each member with a serum that could enhance their physical body, adapting to the metagene and superpower already present.

Villainy Inc. clashed several times against Wonder Woman and A.R.G.U.S. With each confrontation, a team member was defeated and captured, leaving only Doctor Cyber and Poison free.

Nevertheless, they stuck to the plan, launching a pretend cyber attack on Cale Pharmaceuticals and freeing Silver Swan from A.R.G.U.S custody. Using this feigned assassination attempt to mask her involvement with the team, Cale's leaks to Villainy Inc. about Wonder Woman's movements were dismissed as Cyber breaching her "secure server".

With the exact location of Themyscira in their possession, they launched an attack on the island. Overpowering the Amazons, they deployed Medusa into the field. However, the Gorgon was far more powerful than the two doctors initially thought and they were slain by Medusa for their arrogance.

After Wonder Woman sacrificed herself to save Silver Swan, Kapatelis fought side by side with Diana, allowing the Amazon to decapitate Medusa and save Themyscira.

While the defeat of Villainy Inc. was a minor setback to Cale's goals, the results were ideal; she knew the location of Themyscira and all her allies who knew of her involvement with the team were dead.

Confronted by Wonder Woman, she boasted that she had won and there was nothing the Amazon could do to stop her. However, Diana warned her not to make idle threats, leaving her sword impaled in her office desk with the promise that, she would be waiting for Cale's next move.

Giganta - Wonder Woman: Bloodlines

An enemy of the Amazonian princess Wonder Woman, Giganta joined Villainy Inc. as a mercenary, hoping that she could kill her foe and make a profit while doing it. There she would act as a bodyguard for Doctor Poison, in exchange for chemicals that could increase her strength.

During a deal between Villainy Inc. and Vanessa Kapatelis, she fought off Wonder Woman, using the mutagen as a power boost. While she was defeated and taken into A.R.G.U.S custody, she did buy Poison enough time to escape with the desired artefact.

No good to the team now that she was a prisoner, Giganta would be replaced by Cheetah and Silver Swan.

Ferdinand - Wonder Woman: Bloodlines

The son of Pasiphae, the Minotaur "Ferdinand" - as he would become known after a jokey suggestion from Steve Trevor was taken literally - is the original protector of the temple of Pasiphae and the Oracle Fountain at the heart of the labyrinth.

Forever bound to the place, he is compelled to act as a fierce and ruthless killer, murdering all those who try to access the shrine.

Attacking Eta Candy and Steve Trevor while they were investigating the Labyrinth, he inadvertently created an entry to the fountain in his haste to gore them, smashing through the walls.

Seeing that he would not rest while there was the fountain to protect, Wonder Woman destroyed the shrine, reassuring him that he had done well and deserved rest. Free from his duties, he swore his fealty to Diana and her allies.

Adopting the name Ferdinand, he moved into the Hall of Justice, taking up residency in Diana and Steve's private accommodation.

Officer Mick Rory - Justice League

A member of the C.C.P. D’s Specialised Crime Unit, Officer Mick Rory was the partner of Leonard Snart. Together with Sergeant Samuel Scudder, Detective Mark Mardon and Officer Axel Walker, he was tasked with hunting down Jonathan Allen and Rhonda Pineda, a pair of serial killers who had been terrorising Central City for months.

Finally capturing Jonathan Allen, the pair transported him to Iron Heights. Although he argued that Allen should be killed without delay, he relented, agreeing with Snart that the pair should not be granted a quick death after all the pain and suffering they had caused others.

Before they could reach Iron Heights, Pineda stages a jailbreak for Allen, smashing into their police transport with a garbage truck. Both Rory and Snart are knocked unconscious from the impact. Seeing that they are still alive, the pair decide to take their revenge and have some fun with the officers.

Waking up in the abandoned basement of S.T.A.R Labs, Mick is enraged by Pineda talking about his family and newborn daughter, vowing to kill her if they hurt his loved ones. However, she goes on unperturbed, proposing to them a wager - a brawl between the two police officers, and the winner's family survives. Desperate to keep his family safe, Mick eagerly accepts, beating Leonard to death.

Crying over his friend's lifeless body, Rory pleads that they keep their word, only to be shot in the head by Allen.

Unbeknownst to the killers, both Rory and Snart had been fitted with body cams, heartbeat monitors, and homing devices, alternating the C.C.P.D to their precise location.

Officer Leonard Snart - Justice League

The partner of Mick Rory, Officer Leonard Snart of the C.C.P.D Specialised Crime Unit was part of a task force dedicated to capturing the serial killers "Johnny & Ronny", aka Jonathan Allen and Rhonda Pineda.

After months of senseless bloodshed and destruction, they finally capture Jonathan Allen. While Rory wants to execute Allen then and there, he is talked out of it by Snart, who wants to take them back to Iron Heights and kill Allen and Pineda slowly, making them pay for their fallen friends and comrades who had died at the killers' hands. However, before they can reach their destination, they are run off the road by Pineda in a stolen garbage truck.

Coming to hours later, Snart finds both himself and Rory tied up in the basement of the abandoned S.T.A.R. Labs building. Unable to break free of his restraints, Pineda tells the two officers that only one of them will survive the night, threatening to kill their families if they do not fight to the death.

Seeing through her lies, Leonard tries desperately to dissuade Mick from engaging in their cheap little games. However, his pleas are ignored, and he is beaten to death by his partner.

His death triggered a tracking device, alerting his fellow C.C.P.D offers to Allen and Pineda's location.

Detective Mark Mardon - Justice League

A detective working for the C.C.P.D, Mark Mardon was flayed alive by Jonathan Allen and Rhonda Pineda, the two serial killers he was tasked with hunting down and detaining. He died from his injuries.

Sergeant Samuel Scudder - Justice League

A sergeant in the C.C.P.D, Samuel Scudder was tasked with capturing the serial killers Jonathan Allen and Rhonda Pineda. However, the pair got to him first, murdering him in cold blood.

Batwing - Justice League Dark: Apokolips War

Surviving the initial purge of costumed heroes and meta-humans by Darkseid's forces, Batwing went underground with the rest of the Bat Family. There he waited for an opportunity to strike back and repel the Apokoliptians from Earth.

Attacking one of the three Apokoliptian Reapers with Batwoman, Batgirl, Black Orchid and The House of Mystery, Batwing was shot out of the sky. His lifeless body fell into the ocean below.

Batgirl - Justice League Dark: Apokolips War

Going underground after the Justice League's defeat on Apokolips, Batgirl continued to work as a hero, biding her time, and preparing to bring the fight to Darkseid.

She and the surviving members of the Bat Family launched an attack on an Apokoliptian Reaper, fighting her way through the legion of Parademons guarding the device.

Although she managed to hold her own, Batgirl was soon overwhelmed by Paradooms and torn apart.

She was revived when the Flash created a brand-new timeline.

"I Met This Little Girl" - The Sandman

A young mortal girl living on Earth, she complemented Delirium of the Endless' appearance, saying she looked pretty. As a thank you, the youngest of the Endless charmed her so that she would always be happy, no matter what.

Twelve Point Unlimited - Young Justice: Outsiders

A shell company founded and owned by Simon Stagg, Twelve Point Unlimited's operations were closely tied to the meta-human trafficking ring, Branchwater, funding and arming their lucrative and highly illegal corporate espionage missions.

Antler Bay Media - Young Justice: Outsiders

One of four shell companies under Simon Stagg's control, Antler Bay Media was a media broadcasting company operating in the late 2010s.

However, like Stagg's other enterprises, their operations helped to fund and arm the Brachwater meta-human trafficking ring.

Lakewood Protection Agency - Young Justice: Outsiders

A shell company owned by Stagg Industries C.E.O Simon Stagg, Lakewood Protection Agency was used to help him facilitate covert corporate espionage projects, funnelling funds and resources into the Branchwater meta-trafficking ring.

Branchwater Security - Young Justice: Outsiders

One of four shell companies founded and owned by Simon Stagg, Branchwater Security was publically a private security firm.

However, privately, they were a front for a meta-human trafficking ring run by Stagg, who wished to create a covert meta-criminal team to perform corporate espionage and warfare.

Branchwater's operations ended on September 26, 2018, when Stagg was arrested for receiving stolen property.

Simon Stagg - Young Justice: Outsiders

A wealthy C.E.O and founder of Stagg Industries, Simon Stagg is ruthless, morally bankrupt and willing to steep to new lows to get ahead in the business world.

Seeing criminals as pawns, he created Branchwater, a meta-human trafficking ring that would coerce and control meta-criminals into acting as his agents, performing acts of corporate espionage that would benefit Stagg Industries without implicating him in any impropriety.

To control his assets, Stagg hired Jervis Tetch, aka The Mad Hatter, who injected his victims with nanite technology that stripped them of their free will, turning them into obedient puppets. He also contracted various mercenaries to work for Branchwater, who would operate both as recruiters and handlers.

To facilitate and pay for these mercenaries, Simon created additional shell companies, each designed to ensure that no one could trace the meta-trafficking ring back to him.

However, fearing that one of his competitors would have similar ideas, he sought out a way to stop any meta-human who opposed him. Hearing that such a device - a meta-human failsafe - had been salvaged from Reach ships and sent to S.T.A.R. Labs Detroit for further analysis, Stagg ordered Branchwater to secure the tech and bring it back to him in Gotham.

Though the mission was a success, Branchwater was all but incapacitated by the Anti-light, who had learned of Stagg's operation and decided to expose him once and for all.

On September 26th 2019, he was arrested on the ground of possession of stolen goods. Simon would be taken into police custody, where he would remain in prison.

However, prison could not save him. While reading in his cell late one night, he was visited by The Shade, one of his former assets, who sought revenge on Stagg for Branchwater.

Stagg Industries - Young Justice: Outsiders

A research and development firm founded and owned by the corrupt entrepreneur Simon Stagg, Stagg Industries was a tech firm competing alongside the likes of WayneTech and LexCorp.

Wishing to best his competitors, Stagg founded Branchwater, creating a network of meta-criminal operatives to work for him. This team, coerced into committing corporate espionage through mind control, would go on to perform several daring raids.

To fund and arm Branchwater with everything they needed, Stagg would create and control four additional shell companies; Twelve Point Unlimited, Antler Bay Media, Lakewood Protection Agency and Branchwater Security

However, fearing that others would have the same idea, Stagg ordered that they steal a device from S.T.A.R Labs Detroit. This device was technology salvaged from the Reach, designed as a deterrent and fail-safe against meta-humans. Despite facing complications, the device was transported to Stagg Industries' headquarters in Gotham City.

After discovering Branchwater's meta-human trafficking ring, The Anti-Light would mobilise teams to disrupt their efforts, coordinating a tightly-knit resistance movement to disrupt and destroy Branchwater's operations.

The theft of the Reach Tech would be Stagg's undoing. After an anonymous tip - Oracle - was sent to the G.C.P.D, detectives raided the building to discover the stolen tech. Stagg was sent to prison and the company would undergo police investigation.

Poggle the Lesser - Star Wars: Episode III Revenge of the Sith

Escaping Republic custody on his home planet of Geonosis, Archduke Poggle the Lesser rejoined his allies in the Separatist Council. There they all remained hidden, fearing more humiliating defeats at the hands of the Grand Army of the Republic, who were turning the tide of the Clone Wars in their favour.

Placed in the care of General Grievous and his droid army, they remained on Utapau while Grievous and Dooku launched an all-out assault on Coruscant; this would end in disaster with the death of Dooku, the loss of their political prisoner, Chancellor Sheev Palpatine, and the destruction of The Invisible Hand, Grevious' flagship.

At the behest of their benefactor, Darth Sidious, Poggle and the rest of the council were once again moved, this time to Mustafar, a planet whose people sympathised with the Separatist cause and had made trade agreements with the Techno Union to carry out mining operations across the planet.

They managed to flee Utapau just in the nick of time as General Obi-Wan Kenobi and his troops stormed the capital, Pau City, and killed the Grevious.

Arriving on Mustafar, Poggle and the rest of the Council settled into the Klegger Corp Mining Facility's fortified bunker. There they would wait out the end of the war.

Contacted by Darth Sidious, the Sith lord informed them that his new apprentice, Darth Vader, would be arriving shortly to ensure that they called a peaceful ceasefire and bring about an end to the war.

Taking Sidious' words in good faith, Poggle and the others did not expect the betrayal until it was too late. He and the others were executed right then and there. He had tried to fight the Jedi with his staff, though his cane was no match for the lightsaber and he was decapitated.

With the Council dead, the droid army was deactivated and the Clone War was declared officially over.

After his death, a new Archduke would be appointed and the Geonosians would work towards completing construction on the original Death Star, not for the Republic, but for the Galactic Empire.

Watt Tambor - Star Wars: Episode III Revenge of the Sith

With the death of Count Dooku aboard the Invisible Hand, General Grievous ordered Watt Tambor and the rest of the Separatist Council to be sent to the planet of Utapau in the Outer Rim of the Galaxy. As it was a neutral world, it would be the last place the Republic would think to look.

At least that was the intention. Nevertheless, the Grand Army would track Grievous and his forces to the planet, but not before Tambor and the rest were once again moved, this time to the planet Mustafar.

The stronghold, the headquarters of Klegger Corp Mining Facility was a Techno Union-owned structure, designed to keep them safe and secure until the end of the war. The planet also had trade dealings with Watt Tambor and Techno Union, in exchange for Separestist support.

Receiving word that Grevious was dead, Tambor and the others waited for the arrival of Darth Sidious' new apprentice, Darth Vader. There they would peacefully surrender and end the three-year-long war between the Republic and the Separatists.

Or so he had thought.

Vader's arrival did indeed mark the end of the war, but not quite how they imagined. The Sith apprentice proceeded to slaughter the members of the council one by one. Tambor tried to flee, but he was impaled in the conference room.

With his death, the Clone Wars were deemed officially over. His assets would be seized by the Empire and those loyal to him, executed as war criminals and traitors.

Plo Koon - Star Wars: Episode III Revenge of the Sith

Dispatched to Cato Neimoidia to deal with a Separatist stronghold, Plo Koon led the 442nd Siege Battalion to victory in the final days of the Clone War. Remaining behind on the planet to maintain Republic order, he would do routine aerial patrols in his starfighter.

It was during one of these routine patrols that he was set upon by his own troops. His wingman, Captain Jai'galaar, shot at Plo Koon's ship, causing the craft to crash and explode with him still in it.

Captain Jai'galaar - Star Wars: Episode III Revenge of the Sith

A clone trooper born and raised on Kamino, CT-55/11-9009 - known also as Jai'galaar or Jag for short - rose to the rank of captain in the Army of the Grand Republic during the Clone Wars.

Serving as Jedi Master Plo Koon's wingman in 19 BBY, he accompanied his commander and the 442nd Siege Battalion to Cato Neimoidia, helping capture a Separatist command centre.

Shortly after this victory, Supreme Chancellor Sheev Palpatine called for the activation of Order 66. Jag complied, opening fire on the Jedi's starfighter. Plo Koon was killed in the resulting explosion.

Chase - Arrow: Season Three

A member of The League of Assassins serving under Ra's al Ghul, Chase (d. February 2015) was tasked with assassinating Thea Queen, after the latter - under the influence of Malcolm Merlyn - murdered Sara Lance, Ra's daughter's girlfriend.

Getting close to his target, he made himself amiable to Thea, working as a DJ at her nightclub, Verdant, after her previous DJ bombed. Refusing to take her money, he instead took a kiss as payment.

Hoping to start a relationship with Queen, she refused his advances, wanting to keep their relationship strictly professional.

Chase continued to track both her and Malcolm, feeding intel back to fellow assassin Sarab.

While Chase was devoted to his mission, he did form a genuine friendship with Thea. They eventually spent a romantic night together. Getting her alone, he laced her wine with cyanide, hoping to give her a quick and painless death. When this failed, thanks to Thea's training under her father, he fought back, attempting to slit her throat with the cheese knife she attacked him with.

Although he was initially able to hold his own against Thea and Arsenal, who had arrived on the scene, he was overpowered by Merlyn, who shot him in the back. Rather than reveal his master's plans, Chase drank a second vial of cyanide, ending his life.

Philip Harrison - Sardines

A former friend of Carl and John's growing up, Philip Harrison attended the Scout's Jamboree where he was molested by Carl's father Andrew, who was "teaching the boys how to wash themselves."

Alerting others to what had happened, as well as the police, his whole family moved away when Andrew paid for their silence.

The incident caused a knock-on effect on the family and those in attendance. Those loyal to Andrew would say Pip was a liar and a troublemaker. Carl struggled with showing intimacy to others, causing trouble in future relationships. John was so traumatised that he refused to wash, baulking at even the mention of carbolic soap. Caroline, Carl, and Rebecca's sister disassociated herself from the rest of the family, refusing to bring her children around to the house.

The Harrisons never returned to the local area. Or so it had seemed.

Never forgetting the traumatic experience, he used the alias "Richard Ian Percival" or "Ian" for short to attend Rebecca (Carl's younger sister) and her fiancé Jeremy's engagement party years later. There, after trapping everyone in a wardrobe, he proceeded to cover it in lighter fluid, singing the sardine song as he went.

It was only as Carl heard the song; did he realise that Ian was Pip.

Dicky Lawrence - Sardines

A mutual acquaintance of Mark and Andrew, Dicky Lawrence was an influential businessman in talks about merging his company with Mark's. Mark hated him with a passion - calling him a prick - and hoped to use Andrew as a means to get into Lawrence's good graces.

Andrew, also hating Dicky, broke ties with him two years earlier.

Ian - Sardines

A friend and colleague of Jeremy, Ian was invited to attend Jeremy and his fiance Rebecca's engagement party. However, due to scheduling issues, his train arrived at the station later than anticipated.

His identity was stolen by another guest "Richard Ian Percival", aka Philip Harrison, who used basic information to trick his way into the party, fooling everyone, so that he could take his revenge on Rebecca's father.

Lee - Sardines

The younger boyfriend - by about 10 years as he was 21 - of Rachel, Lee attended the engagement party of Rachel's ex-boyfriend Jeremy and his new finance, Rebecca at their large country estate. He was a roofer by profession.

Forced to play the family's party game Sardines, he initially checked Caroline's old bedroom but found no one, not thinking to check in the wardrobe where Rebecca and "Ian" were hiding. He continued in search of the house.

Hearing voices later, he found Mark and Elizabeth in the room, as they too reluctantly got into the wardrobe. Upon seeing Geraldine, he asked her to top up his drink, the only one unaware that she thought herself a guest, not a server as originally intended. Stu offered to top up his glass, suggesting that they form a splinter group under the bed after Carl dismissed their relationship as mere flatmates. He agreed on the condition that they don't have sex.

After Andrew corralled all the players into the wardrobe, Lee decided to take a photo of everyone for Twitter, finding the event to be hilarious. However, he became increasingly uncomfortable after dubious family secrets began coming out.

The only one to remember that was another player looking for them, he reminded the others that "Ian" was still out there, though as they all learn too late that is not Ian but instead Philip Harrison, a friend of Carl and John's who Andrew had molested as a kid at the Scount's Jamboree.

Trapped in the now locked wardrobe, he was left to the mercy of the vengeful Pip, who had doused the wood with lighter fluid, threatening to end all their lives with his lighter.

Robin IV - Batman: Wayne Family Adventures

The fourth member of the Bat Family to use the title of Robin, Stephanie Brown held the position for only a short while in 2020, before returning it to Tim Drake.

One of her proudest moments was solving the Riddler's riddles a full ten minutes after the G.C.P.D received them, using her experience with puzzles and games - as the daughter of Cluemaster - to her advantage.

Robin ii - Batman: Wayne Family Adventures

The second person to adopt the mantle of Robin in 2015, Jason Todd was trained by Batman to fight crime in Gotham City, after Dick Grayson moved away and took up the alias Nightwing.

Growing up in the Bowery, he saw firsthand the fear that criminals inflicted upon innocent lives night after night and wanted to do something about it. Jason was cocksure and often violent when going up against opponents, very rarely pulling his punches.

He did not hold the position long, dying at the hands of the Joker, who beat him to death with a crowbar and left him to be blown up in a warehouse.

Robin - Batman: Wayne Family Adventures

The first hero to take up the mantle of Robin in 2006, Dick Grayson, choosing the name to honour his parents, was a skilled acrobat, having grown up performing with The Flying Graysons at Haley’s Circus.

Due to his difficulty in following basic instructions and often enthusiastic and risky behaviour, he would be banned from going on certain missions.

For a time, he was forbidden to go against Poison Ivy.

Victor Zsasz - Batman: Wayne Family Adventures

A dangerous serial killer from Gotham City, Victor Zsasz is an enemy of Batman and his allies.

On April 21st, 2022, Robin concluded that he was the suspect in a recent string of killings, advising the G.C.P.D to proceed with caution, as he is known to be unprotectable and lethal.

"Jervis Tetch" - Young Justice: Outsiders

Now a coerced asset of the meta-human trafficking ring Branchwater, Clayface, aka Matthew Hagen, was forced to impersonate Jervis Tetch, living his life, while the real neuroscientist was operating with impunity, creating more operatives for Simon Stagg's corporate espionage unit.

This trick was uncovered on September 12th when Batman's team, who had been tailing Tetch - on Wayne's orders - as he was on the way to "his" night shift, became suspicious of how much water he was drinking. Discovering clay backwash in an empty bottle he had disposed of, Orphan took it upon herself to attack their target in an alleyway, slicing him in half and forcing Hagen to reveal himself.

With his cover blown, he retreated to a warehouse, inadvertently allowing the young heroes to discover one of Branchwater's Coercion Facilities. After a fight that saw the warehouse destroyed and the Hatter and Shade escape, they managed to secure a sample of the nanotechnology Tetch injected into his victims. With this in their possession, they could free Hagen from Branchwater's control.

Jaqqar Marlo - Young Justice: Outsiders

The former director of the Research & Development department at Goode World Studios, overseeing the Good World VR Goggles project, Jaqqar Marlo (1969 - 2018was responsible for purchasing several off-the-books facilities used by Granny Goodness and the Light as meta-human trafficking processing centres. Once all the purchases were finalised, he was deemed as an expendable loose end that needed cutting.

Wishing to silence everyone connected to the project and the shell company that Marlo used to purchase the facilities, The Light contracted the League of Shadows to assassinate him. Tracking him down to a bar in Al-Qawiya, he was chased through the streets by Black Spider.

Giving the assassin the slip, Marlo believed he had escaped, only to be crushed by a gigantic boulder, which was being controlled by Spider's backup, Tara Markov.

Once the Goode World Goggles were discovered to be "defective", Gretchen Goode publically blamed Marlo, saying he was a rogue and corrupt businessman who did not speak for the company.

Barry Allen - Injustice: Gods Among Us: Arcade Ending: The Flash

The alter-ego of The Flash, Barry Allen was haunted by his involvement in the rise of the One-Earth Regime, enabling Superman, the High Councilor to commit cruel atrocities without any pushback or protest.

After dethroning and detaining the Kryptonian tyrant, he helped smash the Regime's hold over the planet, before finally going into exile.  There he remained, wracked with guilt and shame, unsure how he could atone for his crimes.

Barry would do all he could to keep Central City safe, although would take no credit, nor show his face for fear of opening old wounds. He would earn the new nickname, "The Ghost", an alias he would take on, now that The Flash and his legacy were hated and reviled for all the pain and death he and the Regime had caused.

The Flash - Injustice: Gods Among Us: Arcade Ending: The Flash

A former member of both the Justice League and the One-Earth Regime, The Flash rebelled against his friends and allies, realising that they had become too focused on maintaining order at any cost, even the lives of innocent people.

Defeating Superman and sending him to the Phantom Zone, The Flash helped dismantle the rest of the Regime, before going into a life of self-exile and permanently giving up the mantle of The Flash.

Or so he thought.

His desire to help others in need was too great, and, in the dead of night, he would use his superspeed to quickly take out criminals before vanishing again, so as not to let people see who he was.

While some were able to piece together his identity from eyewitness accounts of a red blur, others would just be grateful that someone was looking out for them, dubbing him "The Ghost." Satisfied with the moniker, The Flash did not bother to correct them, choosing instead to take on the name and cast aside his old name and legacy, which had been forever tainted by the blood, pain, and fear of all the Regime's victims.

"The Ghost" - Injustice: Gods Among Us: Arcade Ending: The Flash

With the One-Earth Regime broken and leaderless, now that Superman had been banished to the Phantom Zone, The Flash was left with two choices; to atone for all the atrocities he had committed as a member of the Regime, or go into hiding, as many of his former allies had done. He chose the latter, exiling himself from the public eye in an attempt to outrun his past.

Yet Barry quickly found he could not stand by and let injustice run rampant in Central City while he had the power to stop it. Using his super-speed, he would zip in and out of crime scenes, before disappearing without a trace.

Eyewitnesses to his actions would report seeing a red blur, leaving some to deduce his true identity.

However, to others, he would simply be known as "The Ghost," earning respect and gratitude from the citizens of his hometown.

While these actions could in no way rewrite the sins of his past, he felt it was at least the start of his atonement.

The New Titans - Injustice: Gods Among Us: Arcade Ending: Deathstroke

Following the fall of Superman's One Earth Regime, The Elite, loyal paratroopers who had committed countless atrocities in the High Councillor's name, went into hiding, fearing retribution and sentencing as terrorists and war criminals.

While they had successfully managed to remain off the grid, avoiding detection from newly assembled governments, they could not hide from Deathstroke.

Wilson, impressed by their reputation, sought them out, offering them a chance to train under him and use their skills as political assassins. Leaping at the opportunity they agreed, becoming the New Titans.

With Deathstroke as their leader, they have executed covert operations to influence global affairs.

Deathstroke - Injustice: Gods Among Us: Arcade Ending: Deathstroke

Responsible for overthrowing the High Councillor from his position of power, Deathstroke capitalised on the political vacuum created by the downfall of Superman's Regime. As new governments emerged, they became new clients for Deathstroke, leading to a surge in his business. His services ranged from executing assassinations, assisting revolutions, to inciting unrest. The demand for his services grew to such an extent that he could no longer operate alone.

In the aftermath of the One Earth Regime's reign, their Elite Troopers, who had committed atrocities in Superman's name, were forced into hiding due to public outrage and a desire for retribution. While they were elusive to most, Deathstroke was able to locate them. He recruited these outcasts and formed a group known as the New Titans

This group quickly established itself as the world's leading political assassins. Deathstroke's strategic recruitment of the renegade Elite Troopers not only expanded his operational capacity but also solidified his position as the greatest mercenary in the new world order.

The Spirit of Franklin - The Sandman: Season One

Hit by a car while retrieving his football, Franklin's Spirit did not realise he had died, believing that the driver had performed an emergency stop just inches from him.

Franklin - The Sandman: Season One

Unaware of who she was, he was overjoyed to learn that he would meet her again, only realising afterwards that she had used his name. This took him aback as he had not introduced himself. Tabitha - The Sandman: Season One

The newly wed wife of Sam, Tabitha and her husband went abroad for their honeymoon.

Taking adventage of the sun, she sat by the riverside, sunbathing in a lounger as she read a book. Noticing something was off, she is horrified to see Sam's drowned body being dragged to shore. She rushed over to his side, trying to help resusitate him, but it was too late; Sam was already dead.

Later that night, as she dreamed, she saw Sam one final time, telling her his phone passcode so she could at the very least access the boarding passes travel back home.

Sam - The Sandman: Season One

A newly wed husband travelling abroad on their honeymoon, Sam went out swimming in a lake while his wife, Tabitha, happily sunbathed and read a book.

He did not survive, drowning in the water. His body was recovered by onlookers, who, with Tabitha's aid, did their best to resuscitate him, but they could not revive him.

His soul was reaped by Death of the Endless.

The Spirit of Sam - The Sandman: Season One

Drowning in a lake while on his honeymoon, Sam's spirit begged Death of the Endless to let him tell his wife, Tabitha, his phone's passcode so she could access their boarding passes and flight information. Unable to grant this request, Death reaped his soul to the Sunless Lands and the realms beyond.

Though she couldn't raise him from the dead, Death asked Dream to create a vision for Tabitha, allowing Sam to say his final goodbye and give her the codes.

The Spirit of Esmé - The Sandman

Electrocuted during an afternoon comedy set, Esmé's ghost was furious at the bar's management for leaving the mains to her microphone open, causing the fatal shock.

Surprised to see Death of the Endless, she quickly realises who she is, tearfully joking that she had achieved the ultimate nightmare of all comedians: "dying on stage." Lamenting that with a few more years, she could have made it big, Esmé is comforted by Death, who gently leads her to the Sunless Lands and the realms beyond.

Esmé - The Sandman

A struggling comedian living in Gotham City, Esmé played the bars and clubs during the lunchtime hours. It is slow work, and she does not get many laughs from the patrons, as they are too focused on their own lives, but it beats her main job working as a waitress and she enjoys it.

During one of her routine sets, where she joked about Batman and Robin, Esmé's sweaty hands tripped the electrics on her microphone, causing a fatal electric shock.

Franklin - The Sandman

A teenager living in Manhattan, Franklin was playing football with his friends in Washington Square Park, when he spotted Dream of the Endless meeting his sister, Death. Distracted by her beauty, he accidentally sent the ball flying at her. Impressed by her reflexes, he invited her to join them in their game and then for a soda. Excited by her promise to see him again, he didn't question how she knew his name until she vanished.

Later that afternoon, after missing a pass, he chased after the ball as it rolled out into the road. He does not see the car until it is too late, killing him.

His spirit is met by Death once more, who leads him to the Sunless Lands and his afterlife beyond.

The Spirit of Franklin - The Sandman

After dying in a car accident, the Spirit of Franklin is greeted by Death of the Endless.

Unaware of his passing and finding her cute, he wonders about the crowd gathered by the roadside. Death calmly tells him she has something to show him, leading him to the Sunless Lands and his afterlife.

The Mutants - Earth -52 - Batman: The Red Death

A Gotham street-gang known for their sadism, cruelty and violence, The Mutants, overran the streets, clashing with the G.C.P.D during the final days of their world. With law enforcement ill-equipped to deal with the sharp increase in crime, authorities prepared to blow the bridges, isolating the city and turning it into its own No-Mans Land.

Gotham - Earth -52 - Batman: The Red Death

As the red skies appeared over the city, Gotham began to tear itself apart in fear, chaos and disorder. As hard as they tried, the G.C.P.D was unable to stem the increased hostile and criminal activity, leading to countless fatalities with no signs of stopping.

Calling for an evacuation, authorities planned to destroy the bridges in and out of the city, trapping the rioters, looters, gangs and costumed criminals on the island. There they would fend for themselves in their own little No-Man's Land.

However before the order could be carried out, The Red Death appeared and began killing every known costumed criminal he could find. Speeding through the city, he slaughtered, Scarecrow, Penguin, Man-Bat and Riddler, hoping his extreme methods of justice could bring order to Gotham.

Nevertheless, Wayne could not stop the destruction of his world, killing everyone, save for himself, who was rescued by The Batman Who Laughs and his Dark Knights.

Scarecrow - Earth -52 - Batman: The Red Death

A longtime enemy of Batman, Scarecrow, aka Professor Jonathan Crane terrorised the people of Gotham City for decades, using their worst fears against them. When the skies turned red, he capitalised on the fear and destruction, killing citizens for fun.

Cornering a couple in an alleyway, he threatened to kill them with his scythe. However, before he can come any closer he is torn in two by Red Death, his nemesis, now imbued with the Speed Force.

The Couple - Earth -52 - Batman: The Red Death

A couple resided in Gotham City during the final days of Earth -52. They found themselves caught in a riot between The Mutants and The GCPD while attempting to flee Downtown, an area completely overrun by street gang violence.

In an alleyway, the terrified couple were confronted by Scarecrow, who threatened to cut them down with his scythe. However, before Crane could carry out his threat, he was interrupted by the arrival of The Red Death.

The Speedster struck with such force that he split Scarecrow in two with a single punch.

The Doom Patrol - Young Justice: Phantoms

While the entire Doom Patrol was believed dead after their final mission in 2015, Robotman's decapitated head was recovered from a riverbed sometime later. Reassembled and resuscitated, Cliff Steele became the only other known survivor outside of Mento, who had abandoned the team and gone into hiding, and Beast Boy, who was forbidden from joining the mission due to his age.

With his teammates and found family gone, Cliff Steele felt extreme survivor's guilt. Initially unable to process his emotions, Garfield Logan helped him find joy in life once more, allowing him to grieve. Cliff promised, in Rita Farr's memory, that he would watch over and care for her godson, Garfield Logan.

The Doom Patrol - Young Justice: Outsiders

Founded and led by Dr. Niles Caulder in 2011, the Doom Patrol was a team of heroes, outcasts and ostracised by the world due to their meta-human abilities. Its original members included Mento, Negative Woman, and Robotman.

The following year, Rita Farr joined the team as Elasti-Girl. She and Mento (Steve Dayton) started a romantic relationship and eventually married. After her godson, Garfield Logan was orphaned by the Light, Farr became his legal guardian and adopted him. As his powers to morph into animals developed, the team helped him hone and control his skills. He eventually took up the mantle of Beast Boy and occasionally supported the team on relatively safe missions.

In 2015, after discovering an extremely dangerous threat, The Chief ordered the Doom Patrol to respond. Knowing the mission would likely be their last, Farr ordered Logan to stay behind while the others engaged the threat. Mento abandoned the fight and went into hiding, while the others perished.

Logan's already strained relationship with Dayton deteriorated further when Dayton reappeared months later, using his marriage to Farr to adopt Logan and turning him into a child star for fame and fortune. Logan resented his new life and his stepfather, eventually founding the Outsiders as a way to emancipate himself from Mento's control and create a new family, hoping to rebuild what he had lost with the Doom Patrol.
